The World Cup is coming up soon, and with several matches taking place in Arlington, fans from around the world are coming to the Metroplex to join in on the festivities. Several places around Plano are adding to the fun.
Legacy West:
June 4 – A soccer-themed art installation will be unveiled, along with themed-dining experiences, live events and watch parties throughout the remainder of the matches.
June 5 – Legacy West is kicking (pun intended) off the season with the grand opening of Adidas from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The opening will include a live DJ, face painters, snow cones, photo ops, and giveaways for a ‘Texas Meets Soccer’ activation. The new store is located at 7501 Windrose Ave., Suite D190. RSVP is required, but the event is free to attend.
June 8 – Celebration with the public kicks off with yard games, complimentary snow cones and photo ops from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
June 12-19: Legacy Food Hall hosts a Summer of Soccer celebration with giant screens, Casamigos cocktail specials, live DJs, swag giveaways and food from the hall’s various eateries.
Downtown Plano
June 13 – Japan’s Ultras Nippon are hosting a celebration at McCall Plaza at 6 p.m. with a Japanese musician, a DJ performance, food and drinks,a. full bar and a supporter cheer exchange between Japan National Team supporters, Ultras Nippon and FC Dallas supporters.
Granite Park
June 10 – A Soccer Celebration Market will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. with music from DJ Kiks, soccer-themed games, artisan vendors from Lively Local Markets and food and drinks.
The Shops at Legacy East
Now through August 1 – A FIFA merch vending machine resides by Half Shells, stocked with hats, scarves, mascot figurines and other themed merchandise. Items range from about $35 to $325.

According to Visit Plano, many Plano restuarnats and bars are hosting World Cup watch parties.
