Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott scores part-ownership of Walk-On’s restaurant franchise

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is now a co-owner for Walk On’s Sports Bistreaux Dallas-Fort Worth and Waco restaurants.

This co-ownership gives Prescott a 20% stake in the Louisiana-inspired dining spots in Arlington, Las Colinas, The Colony and Waco.

Prescott has a long-standing appreciation for the Baton Rouge-based restaurant after growing up in Louisiana and seeing their role in the Dallas community, he shared in a May 4 release.

“Walk-On’s remains a staple in North Texas and I feel tremendous gratitude to be such an integral part of this growing franchise brand,” Prescott said.

Walk-On’s is also co-owned by former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, a factor that helped Prescott choose to take on the partnership. The company was also founded by Brandon Landry, a former walk-on basketball player at Louisiana State University.

“Knowing that the core of this brand includes caring about people and encouraging a team-before-self mentality makes this commitment and partnership an easy decision,” Prescott said.

Walk On’s has more than 50 locations in the U.S. and is rapidly expanding, per the release.
