The Shops at Willow Bend recently announced that it will open a new location of upscale fitness club Equinox in fall 2018. The club is among new businesses that will join the west Plano shopping center when its $125 million renovations are complete, including Plano Children’s Theatre, the Crayola Experience and restaurants Terra Mediterranean, Knife and Mexican Bar Company. This Plano location will be adjacent to Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hardware and Neiman Marcus.
Equinox was founded in 1991 in Manhattan and now has 89 clubs in the U.S., Canada and U.K. The 35,000-square-foot Plano location will offer strength and cardio training, group classes and personal training, as well as spa services and products, apparel and food and juice bars.
Equinox already has two Dallas locations, in Highland Park and Preston Hollow. Luxury amenities at those locations include a kids club, yoga studio, Pilates studio, cycling studio, boxing studio and saltwater pool. Spa amenities include Kiehl’s products, eucalyptus towels and WiFi. The art gallery-inspired Highland Park location was designed by architect Arthur Casas with serene gardens and renewable materials.
