Former Picasso’s Pizza and Grill owners Andrew and Jennifer Albert have teamed up with their son, Justin Andrew Albert, to launch a new pizza restaurant venture.

Andrews’s, an American-style pizza and pasta restaurant will open later this fall at 1401 Preston Road. The spot near the northwest corner of Preston and Plano Parkway was formerly a Luna de Noche Tex-Mex Grill.

“After 30 years with Picasso’s, I started looking at what I wanted to do going forward and landed on the idea of a restaurant serving various styles of pizza, made-to-order pastas and hickory wood grilled items made with the highest quality ingredients,” Albert says. “Pizza is a staple in America, and the more I started to study different varieties of pizza, the more I saw that people had preferences for different styles, crusts and float profiles. No one was offering more than one or two types of crust or styles of pizza.”

He promises a restaurant that features truly authentic pizza representing the best styles of pizza in the United States. Those styles will include “Dallas style pizza” that Picasso’s featured as well as Chicago Style Pizza, Detroit Style Pizza, Tavern Style Pizza, and New York Style Pizza.

Also on the menu will be salads, calzones, pastas, grilled meats, burgers, sandwiches and desserts.  Andrew’s will also feature a full bar.
