Visit Plano is launching the Taste of Plano Foodie Pass, a new program to bring awareness to the variety of restaurants around Plano and encourage locals to support restaurants as the pandemic continues. Not only did the team at Visit Plano keep restaurants in mind when they designed it, but they also considered what benefits they could offer to Planoites, too.

It’s been no secret that the restrictions placed on businesses this past year due to the pandemic have negatively impacted restaurants.

“The Taste of Plano Foodie Pass is a win-win for restaurants, patrons and the Plano community. The program encourages consumers to broaden their horizons and discover all the flavors of our city. In doing so, they’ll be supporting the establishments that make Plano’s vibrant food scene what it is,” said Visit Plano Director Mark Thompson.

The Foodie Pass consists of more than 70 Plano restaurants that are available for dine-in or pick-up service, and many of them have special offers to be redeemed when ordering. Some of the offers include complimentary appetizers, 10 percent off orders, free dessert and coffee, buy-one-get-one-free and more.

Not all of the restaurants have special offers, but every restaurant on the list has a “check in” option. After 25 check-ins at participating restaurants over a three-month period, participants will get a free “I’m a Plano Foodie” t-shirt.

Getting the Foodie Pass is simple. Sign up at the link, receive a text or email on your phone and save the Foodie Pass to your phone’s home screen for easy access every time you visit a participating restaurant. There are no mobile apps to download.
