Over 200 volunteers and 175 children came to a respite night for foster and adoptive families last weekend.

Embrace Texas and Local Good Center, a nonprofit based in Plano, recently cohosted a Christmas-themed night of fun for North Texas adoptive and kinship families.

Parents enjoyed a respite night while 175 children had cookie decorating, storytime and photos with Santa, supervised by over 200 trained, background-checked volunteers from the National Charity League, the Young Men’s Service League and St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church.
