Sea Breeze Fish Market & Grill has been a popular spot for fresh fish and seafood in North Texas for over a decade. Now the family behind that restaurant, the Oruchs, have launched a delivery-only sandwich concept operating from the same Plano kitchen. The Plano Grilled Cheese Company officially opened March 31, just in time for April’s National Grilled Cheese Month.
Chef Ryan Oruch loves a high-quality grilled cheese sandwich. In fact, that item on Sea Breeze’s kids’ menu has always been called “Ryan’s Grilled Cheese.” Ryan decided that creating unique sandwiches is the best way to demonstrate that any menu item can showcase a variety of ingredients and flavors.
The sandwiches at Plano Grilled Cheese Company are served on Texas toast. The Lobster sandwich features white cheddar cheese, basil and lobster. The Smoked Salmon Club includes Havarti, bacon, red onion marmalade and smoked salmon.
Non-seafood sandwiches include the Triple Cheese, the CBR (cheese, bacon, ranch) and the Patty Melt. There will also be a weekly special featuring “whatever we decide to put in-between Texas toast and cheese,” according to a press release.

Favor is crap. On a tuesday night at 6 pm, parked in front of sea breeze, over an hour and 20 minutes to get a grilled cheese sandwich delivered right outside their door. And don’t try to buy the stuff from the restaurant directly – there’s a contract with favor that keeps them from just selling it to you. So sad, since the food looks so good.
