Mendocino Farms opening Aug. 2 in Legacy West

Mendocino Farms will open its new Legacy West location at 7700 Windrose Avenue on Aug. 2.  The California-based fast-casual restaurant features a rotating menu of sandwiches and salads as well as a selection of craft beers and wine. The menu emphasizes chef-crafted dishes made with locally sourced ingredients.

In anticipation of the grand opeiong, the restuarant is offering a free sandwich, salad or bowl with any menu purchased during the first two weeks after the opend. Those interesetd must create a My Mendo account and select “DFW-Plano” as their favorite location before opening day.

Mendocino Farms will donate 50% of opening day sales to La La Land Kind Café’s We Are One project, which support local foster chindren overcoming issues they encounter when pursuing education and employment.

This will be the fourth Dallas area location to open in recent years.  The restaurant made its North Texas debut in the Dallas Arts District back in 2020. Last year, a second location opened in Addison, followed by a Dallas West Village outpost that opened this month.

Mendocino Farms was founded by husband-and-wife due Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen.  In 2005, they opened their first location in downtown Los Angeles.  From there, they spread across Southern California and then other parts of the state.  In 2019, they expanded into Houston where they now have five locations. A third Dallas location is also slated to open late this year.
