The Movie Institute’s Kamp Hollywood has been offering an intensive, weeklong, full-day camp for 25 years.

The camp offers courses from industry professionals culminating a red-carpet graduation where students will screen their own short film. Course topics include stunt techniques, animation, film writing and other motion media skills.

“Our participants develop confidence, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills that will serve them in any path they choose.” said co-owner and founder Keith Randal Duncan. “Whether they’re making new friends, overcoming challenges, or learning to communicate their ideas, they’ll leave our programs with more than just moviemaking know-how – they’ll leave inspired and empowered.”

Kamp Hollywood 2025 will run July 21-25. Ages 10-18 are able to apply and tuition is $799.

Before this year, The Movie Institute has used pop-ups for each annual camp. Now, they have established a 6,000-square-foot educational and commercial facility with two production stages, an audio and video postproduction suite, training rooms, dressing rooms and a makeup lab.

The Movie Institute is located near the Dillards, which is set to be one of the few parts of The Shops at Willow Bend not demolishe with the upcoming Centennial takeover and renovation.
