Plano will soon have a new breakfast/home-cooking option. Norma’s Cafe, a Dallas institution known for enormous plates and mile-high pies, will be opening at Creekwalk Village in central Plano this summer.
Norma’s original location opened in Oak Cliff in 1956. This new location is the fifth to open and the first in Plano. The Plano spot was previously occupied by Black-eyed Pea restaurant.
“Plano is a new territory for Norma’s Cafe and we’re so excited to be a part of this growing area,” said Ed Murph, owner of Norma’s Cafe.
A first for Norma’s Cafe, the Plano location will also host about 50 guests in a private dining area that can be reserved for large groups. The main dining area will hold about 145 guests in a 5,340-square-foot space. The classic Texas home-cooking menu, warm and genuine service and established customer relationships will be consistent to what the community already expects at the existing four locations.
