The 16-story Omni Frisco Hotel, which opened on July 24, held an official ribbon cutting on Aug. 25 with Omni Hotels & Resorts and the Dallas Cowboys. The Omni Frisco Hotel is the cornerstone hotel of The Star development, which is anchored by the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and Ford Center.
Robert Rowling, owner and chairman of TRT Holdings, was on hand to cut the ribbon with Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney and Omni Frisco GM Jeff Smith. Master of Ceremonies was former NFL quarterback and sportscaster Babe Laufenberg.
“The Omni Frisco Hotel is the pinnacle of luxury in North Texas and we were thrilled today to welcome our guests from around the community to come and experience the hotel for the first time,” said Rowling. “It has truly been a pleasure working with the Jones family and the Cowboys organization, as well as the City of Frisco, on this project and we cannot wait to see all the great things that continue to happen here at The Star and Omni Frisco Hotel.”
The Omni Frisco Hotel has 300 luxuriously-appointed guest rooms and suites, as well 24,000 square feet of meeting space and a 13,000-square-foot ballroom. The most spectacular views of the hotel are from the 4th floor rooftop pool and lounge area. Guests can sip cocktails while overlooking the Ford Center and plaza. For dining, hotel guests can choose from Dallas favorite eatery Neighborhood Services, the hotel’s Lobby Bar and the rooftop Edge Bar.
The hotel also features luxury retail outlet Charlotte Jones Collection, featuring clothing by PAIGE Denim and EQUIPMENT, jewelry by Alexis Bittar, pet items from Smathers & Branson and – of course – several items that are Dallas Cowboys-themed. Each item has been personally selected by Charlotte Jones Anderson, the Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer for Dallas Cowboys, and Laura McKoy, Creative Director and Vice President of Interior Design of Omni Hotels & Resorts.
“The Omni Frisco Hotel is truly a focal point of the luxury and entertainment experience we offer here at The Star,” said Jerry Jones. “This hotel will cater not only to guests and fans from all over the country, but also the community of Frisco and visitors of The Star and Ford Center. Working with Omni has been a great pleasure and I personally cannot wait to see what the future holds for both of our brands.”
