Plano East Senior High School math teacher Wesley Tyree was named as one of four finalists for the Technology Association for North Texas’ 2026 Tech Titans of the Future Award.
The award is given to a high school math or science teacher who “develops and implements an innovative teaching technique or program inspiring students to pursue science, technology, engineering or math.”
“We are very proud to have Mr. Tyree educating our students,” said Plano East Senior High School Principal David Jones. “ He is passionate, creative, hardworking and cares about their success.”
Plano ISD previously won the award in 2006 with Plano West’s David Carroll, 2011 with Plano Senior’s Kim Wolff and with Plano ISD’s Kayla Olivas.
He will be recognized and a winner will be announced at the 2026 Tech Titans Awards on Friday, August 28 at the Dallas/Plano Marriott Legacy Town Center.
