Plano ISD Schools to Remain Closed Through May 1

Today Plano ISD Superintendent Sara Bonser announced that in accordance with Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s order, Plano ISD schools will remain closed through May 1.

She acknowledged the hardship many parents have taken on during this time: “We know that while you are home with your children, many of you are also working from home, and we want to continue to do whatever we can to ease your burden.”

Superintendent Bonser assured that Plano ISD will continue to refine remote learning plans to be more streamlined and manageable, and students’ grades will not be negatively impacted due to the situation. Grades are not to be assigned or recorded through April 3, and guidelines for Phase III of learning beyond April 3 are forthcoming.

Information on meal pick-ups for students can be found here.
