RSVP now to our community Q&A event on October 22

RSVP by messaging us on Facebook or emailing alessandra@planomagazine.com to hang out with the Plano Mag staff and hear what we're working on.

As of tomorrow, it’s officially been a year since our last community Q&A event, and we’re so excited to host another one next month. On October 22, we’re coming to 1418 Coffee’s new event space, known as 1420, to chat with community leaders, readers, business owners and other community members.

Who?

You! And everyone you know. Whether you’re a Plano ISD student, a local business owner, a fellow journalist, a community leader, a regular reader or someone who’s never opened a Plano Magazine issue before, we’re inviting everyone who is interested in learning more about our magazine to come and ask questions, provide feedback and tell us what coverage you want to see.

When & Where?

The Q&A is set for October 22 at 6 p.m. at 1420, next door to 1418 Coffee in Historic Downtown Plano.

Why?

While we held a short community event on the first day of school, we haven’t had a chance to meet in-person to talk about what improvements we’ve made, what topics we’ve covered and what goals we are looking forward to with you, our readers and community we aim to serve. We don’t just want to be some shiny paper delivered to your doorstep or a sticker from our Best Of contest sitting in the window of your favorite restaurant. We’re Planoites, through and through, and we want to put our faces to our name.

What will be discussed?

I will introduce myself and give background on the magazine, explain our role as a nonprofit newsroom, discuss our recent partnerships, highlight the work of our summer interns, answer questions from you and ask some myself.

So come one, come all. Please RSVP by messaging us on socials or emailing alessandra@planomagazine.com so that we get an accurate headcount. A raffle will be on site for those in attendance and we encourage you all to grab a snack and a coffee from 1418 before coming in — you’ll be sure to see me with a dirty chai latte in-hand. (Try one, you won’t regret it.)
