Christmas is almost here, and someone finally told the weather. We are all set for freezing conditions this weekend, and what better cure than hot chocolate? Yelp announced the season’s Top 25 Places to Get Hot Chocolate in the United States this month, and Plano’s 1418 Coffee House made the cut.
1418 Coffee House makes craft coffee right in the heart of downtown Plano. Their signature drink, The Purple Haze, is a cafe latte with lavender and vanilla, served with oat milk, almond milk or soy milk. Other popular favorites are The Beez Kneez, The David Mason, The Sgt Pepper and other espresso drinks.
The shop also serves TacoDeli dishes, pastries, sandwiches, Emporium Pies, and other desserts and snacks. Their award-winning hot chocolate, however, comes in at $3.10. Yelpers from around the metroplex have applauded the shop’s hot chocolate, saying “it was the best I’ve ever had” and “their hot chocolate was close to perfection.”
1418 Coffee House is located at 1418 K Ave. and is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays.
