The Tapestry of Hope fashion show and luncheon returns Sept. 10 at the Hilton Granite Park. Organizers want to remind attendees that this year they will need to wear pants.

Last year, the event was held virtually due to the pandemic.  This year it will kick off in-person with boutique shopping from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The lunch and fashion show then commence at 11:30.

Attendees will receive a limited-edition candle from Lakewood Candle Co. They will also be able to purchase raffle tickets for gift cards to the runway fashion retailers. Proceeds from the event will support Hope’s Door New Beginning Center, which helps survivors of domestic violence in North Texas.

“It has been a long and difficult year and a half, but we are so pleased to have such a positive response to coming together to support our survivors of domestic abuse,” CEO Christina Coultas said in a statement announcing the event.

Organizers say that all precautions are being taken to make guests feel as comfortable as possible. Producer Rhonda Sargent Chambers will mask her crew and utilize a straight runway instead of the traditional T-shaped runway. This will allow for guest tables to be 10 feet apart and still enjoy the show. Sanitation stations will also be located throughout the lobby and ballroom.

This year’s fashion sponsor is Highland Park Village. Represented boutiques include Alice + Olivia, FRAME, Lela Rose, Trina Turk, and Veronica Beard, on the runway. They along with other vendors will be open for shopping.

Tickets will be available until Sept. 8.  They can be obtained by going online to at https://hdnbc.org/tapestryofhope or by contacting Beth Robinson, Director of Development, at brobinson@hnbc.org.
