Hendrick Scholarship Foundation was founded in Plano in 1991 to provide Plano ISD graduates who have overcome adversity with not only a college scholarship, but mentoring and life skills training. Since its creation, Hendrick has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to more than 300 local students.
Hendrick Scholarship Foundation’s signature fundraiser is TASTE 2020. Attendees will gather together on Feb. 27 at Classic BMW to enjoy an exciting evening of music, cocktails, an auction and more, with the opportunity to sample dishes from the area’s premiere chefs and restaurants.

Hendrick Scholarship Foundation welcomes Sheri Steele, past president of Junior League of Collin County, as this year’s honorary event chair. Sheri is joined by Dallas chef John Tesar of Knife restaurant and “Top Chef” as the celebrity honorary chef for TASTE 2020. Pete Delkus, the beloved weather man for WFAA, will act as host and celebrity emcee.
Guests can select from sponsored intimate lounge seating area, traditional table placement or individual party tickets. Individual tickets are $150 per person, inclusive of hospitality and complimentary valet. VIP tickets include early admission to the event, a specialty food and cocktail tasting, a chef’s reception and a VIP prize drawing.
Hot auction items this year include tickets to see Harry Styles at the American Airlines Center, a condo stay in La Jolla, California, wine tasting in Fredericksburg, a Wall of Wine and a special event with chef John Tesar.
TASTE 2019 raised $100,000 to support local students on their journey to attend college. Hendrick Scholarship Foundation currently supports 66 students with scholarship and mentorship for the 2019-2020 school year.TASTE 2020 >
