The Texas Women’s Foundation (TXWF) announced their new board of directors, including board member and Planoite Holly Tucker.

Beginning July 1, 2024, Carrie Freeman Parsons, chair of the board of Freeman Company, will serve as chair of the foundation’s board of directors for a second year, according to a statement released by TXWF. Cris Zertuche Wong, an executive at Goldman Sachs, has been named chair-elect of the Board. She will take over as chair on July 1, 2025, replacing Parsons. Wong will lead the board through June 30, 2027, for a two-year period.

Furthermore, the foundation has welcomed two new board members: Planoite Tucker, a partner at Deloitte, and Renda Mathew, senior vice president and president of the Dallas market at Truist.

Tucker is a partner in the forensic practice of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP and has worked with them for 25 years.  After working with Deloitte Australia for 10 years, she moved to Deloitte in Dallas and became a partner in 2014.  She is the US Forensic point of contact for Consumer & Industrial Products and the lead for US Consumer Products for Enterprise Compliance Services.

“Returning board chair Carrie Parsons, chair-elect Cris Wong and our talented board of directors are committed to helping Texas Women’s Foundation achieve our vision of an equitable society where women and girls can fully participate,” Karen Hughes White said.  “As the Foundation nears its 40th year, there is a clear need to support and advocate for Texas women and girls and to amplify their voices. We are grateful for the active role the board will play in the fulfillment of our mission.”

TXWF is a Dallas-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to create a more fair Texas. TXWF was established in 1985 by 19 women from various backgrounds with the goal of ensuring that more resources were directed toward tackling the particular problems that face women and their families. With assets exceeding $36 million, TXWF has grown to become one of the largest women’s funds in the world. Since its founding, the organization has invested up to $80 million in Texas women and girls and $7.1 million in strategic projects, programs, and grants that support women’s economic stability and leadership.
