Plano to host Memorial Day veteran tribute during sunset

The tribute will include a roll call of fallen soldiers from Plano, posting of the colors, pledge of allegiance and invocation.

Memorial Day is Monday, May 26, and Plano is honoring fallen veterans with a 45-minute program at sunset at Memorial Park.

The program will include the posting of the colors, pledge of allegiance, National Anthem, invocation and a proclamation, according to a press release. A roll call of veterans who have died will be read with the passing of the folded glad and a 21-gun salute.

Newly installed bricks of honor will be viewable, and those who want to honor loved ones who served can purchase a brick online.

The program will take place at 2101 Bay Hill Drive at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 26. The event is coordinated by the American Legion Harding-Blaine Post 321 and Casey Joyce All-America VFW Post 4380.
