As part of Texas Women’s Foundation (TXWF)’s annual community grants cycle, Plano’s Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation has been awarded a grant for its work with women, girls and families in North Texas.
TXWF distributed over $820,000 in grants to 23 Dallas-Fort Worth area nonprofits, which were honored at a reception on Sept. 26.
“These incredible nonprofit organizations are transforming public education, providing critical healthcare access and helping fill the increasing gap in basic needs such as food and housing,” said TXWF President and CEO Karen Hughes White. “We are so thankful to our donors and philanthropic partners who make this support possible, allowing TXWF to remove barriers to women’s economic security, stability and success as we work to build a strong and vibrant Texas for all.”
Other awarded nonprofits include The Samaritan Inn, Abide Women’s Health Serivces, After8toeducate, Bonton Farms, Brother Bill’s Helping Hand, Buckner Children and Family Serivces, Dallas Leadership Foundation, Gateway of Grace, Interfaith Family Services, Junior Players, LBU Community Clinic, Methodist Health System Foundation, Nexus Family Recovery Center, Poetic, Viola’s House, Texas Women’s University Foundation, Viola’s House, Vogel Alcove, Young Women’s Preparatory Network, Children’s Advocacy Center fro North Texas, HSNT, The Heights Ellis County Family Resources, and Camp Fire First Texas.
