Urban Crust and Urban Seafood Co. will host a traditional Feast of Seven Fishes Dinner at both restaurants on Christmas Eve.
The Feast of Seven Fishes is a traditional Italian celebration that takes place on Christmas Eve. In Italy, the Feast is known as “La Vigilia”. Typically, Italians drink, eat and celebrate before attending midnight mass. Mirroring Catholic traditions, the Feast of Seven Fishes is a meatless meal. Although there is no conclusive evidence, most Italians agree the number seven was chosen to reflect the seven Sacraments of the Catholic Church.
