Dayna Tolley was born in California and raised in the great state of Texas, having called Plano home for the past 28 years. As a single mother, she spends her time raising her two daughters, working as a Plano 9-1-1 dispatcher and running her own business, Party On! Events.
Dayna, tell me about your job as a Plano 9-1-1 dispatcher.
I have been there for 16 years, and everyday is a new day. I have done everything from delivering babies to being someone’s last voice they heard before they died.
What inspired you to start an event planning business?
My girls, Olivia and Elly. My oldest daughter’s first birthday was a total disaster, so I took it upon myself to teach myself how to do better, and people took notice. I had so much interest that I decided to turn it into a business.
Tell me about Party On! Events.
I officially started Party On! Events in 2015. We are family-owned and operated, and my oldest daughter helps me out a lot. We pride ourselves on making Pinterest-worthy events.
It might seem like we specialize in kids’ parties but we actually do so much more. We do social events, corporate events and even month-of-wedding coordination. We work very hard for all of our clients and seek to bring their vision to life.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Party On! Events is still helping clients create memorable birthdays and organize small private events. The business and its vendors follow CDC guidelines, including wearing face masks and using hand sanitizer often, to keep everyone as safe as possible.
