Plano-based SK Signet and Photoville opened a public art exhibit titled Plano, Texas: A City Built for Community, which will be available to the public from Dec. 1 through Jan. 15.
The exhibit, located on the southeast corner of E 15th Street and K Avenue, highlights the stories of various members of the Plano community, including:
- Abbie Alter & Kate Sazer – founder and “Instagram Queen” at Plano Moms
- Stephanie Bouillion-Mayer – firefighter paramedic, Plano Fire-Rescue
- Rodney Carrera – artist & owner of Anomaly Lifestyle Art and Tattoo
- Lola Dada-Olley – attorney, advocate and speaker
- Shanette Eaden – Housing and Community Services Manager, City of Plano
- Meryl K. Evans – CPACC, accessibility consultant and disability advocate
- Britainy Goss – producer, board treasurer, and stand-up comedian, Plano Comedy Festival
- Rutledge Haggard – lifelong Planoite
- Courtney Hitt – arts advocate, Plano Art Walk
- Dr. Cheryl Jackson – founder, Minnie’s Food Pantry
- Mary Jacobs – author and historian, Haunted: Plano, Texas
- Mona Kafeel – CEO, Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation
- Lynne McLean – CEO, Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County
- Arthur G. Parker Jr. – retired police officer and school resource officer, Plano Police
- Graciela Katzer & Elizabeth Parr – president and performer, Plano International Festival
- Corina Sadler – volunteer resources supervisor, City of Plano
- Cameron Satterthwaite – owner, Georgia’s Farmers Market
