The City of Plano Planning Department also won a silver award for Implementation for the City of Plano Future Land Use Map Implementation Tools.

The Texas chapter has awarded Plano with Community of the Year in 2014 and several planning achievement awards since 2019. Plano has previously won national awards from the APA in 2017 for the Plano Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan.
