6 Days to The Good Stuff: Plano ISD and its school board

Count down to our The Good Stuff 10th Anniversary Block Party with 10 of "the good stuff" about Plano.

For the 10 days leading up to our 10th anniversary block party, we’re counting down 10 things we love about Plano by celebrating The Good Stuff. What is the good stuff, you ask?

With six days left, we’re talking Plano ISD and its school board.

This year, Plano ISD’s Board of Trustees was named one of the top 5 school boards in the state for support for educational performance and educational improvement projects, commitment to a code of ethics and maintenance of harmonious and supportive relationships among board members

The board leads a school district chalk-full of awards. This year, 884 students received College Board National Recognition awards, given to those with a high GPA and either top 10% in their high school on the PSAT or a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP exams.

We cover lots of Plano ISD students getting recognized, like when Plano ISD students were named top competitors in a national middle school STEM competition or when students’ art was put on display at the ArtCentre of Plano.

You can still buy tickets here! Tickets are $10 and include two cocktails, light bites, entertainment and more. Ages 17 and under are free.
