Every little girl has dreamed up her ideal tea party – eloquent tables, a beautiful setting, peaceful music and good company. This dream is now coming true for girls of all ages in North Texas because the ArtCentre of Plano is hosting its first ever Mother’s Day Tea Party on May 12, and Honorary Chair Betty Muns invites you and the women closest to you to attend.
The Mother’s Day Tea Party will take place in the picturesque backyard of the Saigling House in Downtown Plano, looking out onto Haggard Park. The tables will be beautifully set with antique and bone china curated from precious family collections, the lawn freshly manicured with vibrant landscaping and the air filled with peaceful musical accompaniment by Collin College musicians, while you sip the finest tea with your dearest ladies.
Guests are invited to gather together for this garden party and enjoy a delightful tea tasting featuring a special blend, Essence of Apricot, made for this occasion by the Cultured Cup in Dallas. Delicacies from Plano’s Chocolate Angel tea room will accompany the uniquely blended tea.
Kyle Stewart, a certified tea specialist, will walk the guests through the history of teas, being sure to bring about an intense appreciation for the flavor.
Reservations must be made by May 5 by visiting www.artcentreofplano.org. The Tea Party is $50 per guest and all proceeds from this event will benefit ArtCentre of Plano by funding adult and children programs. Media sponsor for this event is Plano Magazine.
