Though not moving very far, with its current North American base in Richardson, ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is moving its North American headquarters to Plano, adding themselves to the lineup of Plano’s many headquarters — and top employers.
In fact, the security tech company aims to add approximately 350 employees over the next 10 years, according to a press release.
“The city is thrilled to welcome ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions to Plano’s vibrant Research-Technology Crossroads,” said Mayor John B. Muns. “We eagerly anticipate the potential collaboration and innovation that their global expertise will bring to our community. The company’s relocation to Plano’s Research-Technology Crossroads enhances the district’s reputation as one of the most dynamic and thriving centers for research and innovation. Plano is honored to be the home of ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions and its North American headquarters, and we look forward to a prosperous partnership that will contribute to the ongoing success of our thriving city.”
ASSA ABLOY is a Swedish conglomerate that provides products and services related to locks, doors, gates and entrance automation. With over 50,000 employees, ASSA ABLOY ranks on the Fortune 500 in Europe. The company also recently acquired Integrated Warehouse Solutions, a U.S. manufacturer of loading dock equipment based in Burleson.
“ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is thrilled to share the next exciting stage of our company’s ongoing growth with the city of Plano, and are looking forward to leveraging all of the new opportunities that this transition will bring,” said Nicolas Aznar, President of the Americas at ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions. “Plano serves as an important hub for technological innovation and will be central to our goal of continuing to expand our portfolio of solutions and services for customers across the Americas.”
ASSA ABLOY will be leasing a 107,000 square-foot flex-space at 2925 E Plano Parkway beginning in October of 2024.
