Though popular “blow dry bar” concept Blo Blow Dry Bar has locations all over the country, it’s first Plano franchise is set to open later this week.
Blo Blow Dry Bar offers five styles on its hair menu, a la carte options, hair treatments and five makeup looks.
Guests can purchase memberships, which include two blow outs monthly and discounts on additional services. For a limited time in celebration of the opening, the bar will offer its membership for $75. A single discounted rate of $40 will also be available from April 11 to May 11.
The new franchise is owned and operated by Planoite Shannon Myers Ambrozy. Though her professional background is in global consulting and strategy, a rotator cuff injury in 2023 brought her to Blo Blow Dry Bar for help washing her hair, which later inspired her to open a franchise location.
“As a Plano high school alumnus and the 2016 recipient of the National Association of Professional Women VIP Woman of the Year Circle Award, empowering women has always been my passion,” said Ambrozy. “I’ve spent much of my career as the only woman in the room, carving out my own space. With Blo, that dynamic has shifted. I’m excited to bring this empowering space to Plano and create a place where women feel confident and supported.”
Though the location opens on April 11, a grand opening celebration will take place on April 18 with refreshments, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, an Easter egg hunt for children and adults and a raffle for a six-month free membership.
