The fundraiser raffle will directly benefit first responder support organizations, the Plano Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and Plano Fire Rescue Associates. Partygoers can purchase tickets for $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. Raffle prizes include floor seats to a Dallas Mavericks game and a “Police Officer for a Day” experience, among many others. Proceeds from the event’s signature cocktail will also be donated to the organizations.

“We want to give back to the people that constantly give so much to our community,” owner Nathan Shea said. “While we are excited to celebrate five years in business at Urban Rio, we also want to celebrate our first responders. This fundraiser is the least that we can do.”

Opened in 2012 by restaurateurs Nathan and Bonnie Shea, Urban Rio offers modern Mexican/Spanish cuisine. The full-service upstairs bar, On the Rocks Cantina, has spectacular panoramic views of the downtown. It is the sister restaurant to acclaimed wood-fired pizza concept Urban Crust, also located in downtown Plano.
