On July 19, Plano’s Cinemark Legacy and XD is bringing the Disney Institute‘s one-day professional development course to DFW for the first time ever.

The course, titled Disney’s Approach to Business Excellence, teaches Disney’s business practices to participants aiming to apply them to their own organizations. Disney Institute facilitators will walk participants through eight hours of training based on Disney’s three key pillars of success: leadership, employee engagement and service.

Disney Institute typically offers these classes on-site at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California for one-day learning lessons or multi-day retreats, but this year the team is also on a national tour sponsored by ODP Business Solutions that includes stops in Ohio, Utah, California and Maryland.

“We’re thrilled to expand our collaboration with ODP Business Solutions as we take our classrooms on wheels this summer,” Vice President of Disney Institute and National Geographic Live Timo Gorner said in a news release. “Our experiences are transformative and engaging, and the lessons we share can be applied in your own work environment.”

In addition to the course, participants will also receive special discounts on office supplies, furniture, technology and more via a dedicated shopping page as well as a unique Disney art print after their first purchase on the site.

Those interested can sign up for the class online. The class runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19 and costs $499.
