Father’s Day is Sunday, June 21, and if the potential rain is ruining your grilling plans, several Plano restaurants have specials to celebrate.

On Sunday, Truluck’s is showing off with its Prime Rib Sunday experience. For gifts, an Elijah Craig gift package that includes a half-bottle of Elijah Craig Small Batch, a crystal mixing glass, a cocktail mixing spoon, a julep strainer, an Old Fashioned Cocktail recipe book, a Father’s Day card and a canvas gift bag is available for purchase through Open Table Experiences for $50, while supplies last.

On Sunday, Princi Italia is holding a brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a prix fixe menu for $45. The menu includes dishes like braised short rib benedict, steak and eggs, lobster ravioli and other Italian classics. For dinner, the regular menu is available alongside Father’s Day specials like veal scallopini parmigiana and parmesan-crusted halibut. Reservations are available online.

Bulla Gastrobar is opening early on Sunday for a 10 a.m. brunch and a $20 gift card towards the next visit for dads.

All weekend long, Mexican Sugar is featuring a dish called El Plato Del Jefe, an 8-ounce beef tenderloin with house-made steak seasoning, a roasted poblana pepper stuffed with quesadilla cheese and shrimp, ranchero salsa, chimichurri, micro-cilantro and micro-bull’s blood. All weekend long, Whiskey Cake is featuring smoked hot honey ribs with a dill potato salad and house pickles ($36) and the Cigar Blend Old Fashioned, a cacao-infused Wild Turkey 101, toasted peppercorn simple syrup and Turkish tobacco bitters served over a Whiskey Cake ice chunk with a branded orange peel ($16). The Wild Turkey Old Fashioned Kit is available for purchase while supplies last. Reservations are available online.

Haywire

On Sunday, Haywire is doing a Father’s Day Brunch Buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a carving station, taco bar, seafood bar, breakfast favorites and an Old Fashioned bar for $59.95 for adults and $19.95 for children. Reservations are available online.
