Scott Bowman comes to the corporation from Sungard Availability Services, where he was responsible for all North American Sales.

Fortress Solutions, a Plano-based corporation and global provider of custom solutions for critical infrastructure management and support for telecommunications carriers, appointed Scott Bowman as its chief revenue officer (CRO) this morning.

According to a press release, Bowman’s experience will further facilitate the transformation of Fortress into a software and services company, while maintaining their foundation as a leader of third-party repair services.

“Scott is an extremely strong and experienced leader. We are ecstatic to welcome Scott with open arms,” Fortress CEO John Shelnutt said. “The in-depth knowledge Scott brings to our team will enhance the growth experience for both Fortress and our customers.”

Bowman has previously served in senior executive positions at IBM, Hitachi Data Systems and Unisys Corporation, and was most recently responsible for all North American sales for Sungard Availability Services.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Fortress family and am looking forward to engaging not only with the dedicated Fortress team, but our loyal customers around the globe,” Bowman said. “It is an exciting time to be a part of the leadership team as we guide Fortress through this period of significant industry change.”
