“Make Room for Color,” an exhibition by popular artist Kelly Steller Hrad debuts from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 28 at the ArtCentre of Plano. A VIP opening for ArtCentre members and invited guests will be held from 6-8 p.m. on September 10.
This is a return exhibition for Hrad. Her works have also been exhibited throughout the Metroplex and beyond. She was recently
commissioned by the new Louis Vuitton store in Legacy West to create an original painting.
“Kelly’s works are remarkable,” ArtCentre Executive Director Suzy Jones says. “We are thrilled about her return visit to the ArtCentre with new colorful works of art.”
In her artist statement for the event, Hrad says that she expresses her thought and emotions on canvas through multiple mediums, from acrylic to three-dimensional oil and beyond. Her artwork is an expression of life through color and line. She strives to captivate the eye with rich vivid layers.
“I feel my distinct style exudes joy and peace, and expresses a vibrant spirit that emanates off the canvas,” she says.
