Expects to hear lots of “Boomer Sooner” and “Texas Fight” on Friday night in downtown Plano. In preparation for this weekend’s Red River Showdown, McNeal’s Tavern and Eatery will host its first Texas-OU pep rally from 5 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 7. The evening will include an extended happy hour, a live DJ, grilled ribs and fun on the patio.
The fight songs of both teams will be played in what will undoubtedly be one of the area’s loudest singalongs. Those fans may want to pace themselves. Kickoff for the big game is once again set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cotton Bowl.
