Over the past few weeks of school closures, Minnie’s Food Pantry has been a valuable partner to Plano ISD, providing supplemental evening meals to students as they pick up breakfast and lunch from Plano ISD grab-and-go meal locations.
Due to the long Easter holiday weekend coming up, Minnie’s Food Pantry is trying to help provide food boxes for at least 700 food-insecure families on Wednesday, April 8.
To fulfill all of the needed boxes, the food pantry is in desperate need of:
- Boxed cereal (biggest need)
- Canned meat
- Peanut butter
- Canned fruit
- Boxed potatoes
Pantry founder Cheryl Jackson welcomes food donations, monetary gifts and gifts of volunteer service in order to be able to continue operations.
Food donations can be delivered in person Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Minnie’s Food Pantry 661 18th Street Plano, TX 75074.
