Plano Chamber Names New President/CEO

The Plano Chamber of Commerce has announced that Kelle Marsalis is the organization’s new President/CEO. Marsalis has served as Interim President/CEO since July 2019.

Marsalis was selected by a search committee comprised of Plano Chamber of Commerce board members and community leaders. The committee conducted and national search with the goal of finding a leader that could build upon the success of the Chamber and continue to bring value to a very diverse membership and community.

“The Plano Chamber is proud to announce Kelle as its new leader and looking forward to the where she and her team will lead the Chamber. Her servant and visionary leadership styles will further position the Chamber to deliver the value that its membership, the Plano community, and the surrounding region has come to expect,” shares LaMonte Thomas, 2019 Board Chair.

Marsalis brings more than a decade of chamber experience to the role. Her resume includes membership, talent, and economic development roles with Rockford (IL) Chamber of Commerce, Stillwater (OK) Chamber of Commerce, and Dallas Regional Chamber. She served as Director of Membership Retention for the Plano Chamber of Commerce in 2008.

Marsalis joined the Plano Chamber team in February 2019 as Vice President. In this role, she provided leadership in membership service and development, as well as mentoring and managing staff, developing and managing Chamber programming, and evaluating organizational performance.

An alumni of Oklahoma State University, Marsalis is also a 2010 graduate of the Institute for Organization Management (IOM) and currently serves as the Vice Chair for the Board of Trustees and Curriculum Committee. She also is a member of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Board of Directors.

“I am incredibly excited to be selected as the Chamber’s president and CEO and to have the opportunity to continue the progress the chamber has made for the Plano business community and our citizens,” states Marsalis.

“I am honored to work with the entire team of staff and volunteers to build innovative programs and support our members.”

Marsalis resides in Plano with her husband, Van, and their daughter, Tilly.
