Plano Conservancy wants your photos

It’s time to get those cameras ready.  The Plano Conservancy, a local nonprofit historic preservation organization, is asking residents to submit photos that tell the city’s story. All submission should relate to Plano history and include a caption of 50 words or less describing where the photo was taken and its connection to Plano’s past.

Judges will consider each photo’s quality, creativity and ability to tell a story about Plano history. Winners will be chosen from four categories: historic homes, historic buildings, historic cemeteries, and historic trains. They will receive copies of the books “Hidden History of Plano” and “Haunted Plano.”

Entries should be emailed to in JPG formant no larger than 4 MB. Multiple entries will be accepted, but individuals will only be allowed to win one prize.  The photo submission deadline is 5 p.m. Aug. 31.
