Whiskey Cake to Serve Six-Course Dinner Featuring Pork and Whiskey

Whiskey Cake is offering a six-course pairing dinner with different cuts of pork and whiskey-based drinks.

WhistlePig Whiskey, the brand of rye whiskey offered at the event, is sending ambassador Doug Ward to talk with diners throughout the evening about the flavors of the drinks. Chef Stephen Rego and bar manager Alan Dean have created complementary food and drink pairings for each course.

The May 25 dinner will include: pork wings and a “When Pigs Fly” cocktail; Nashville pig ear salad with a “Piggie Smalls” cocktail; a P.B.L.T. with a pour of WhistlePig Farmstock, Memphis marinara with the “Trading Places” cocktail; pork ribs with a pour of WhistlePig 10 Year; and a brown butter bourbon blondie with a pour of WhistlePig Piggyback.

Tickets cost $85 per person and can be purchased by calling the restaurant at 972-993-2253 or by emailing whiskeycake@whiskey-cake.com. The dinner begins at 7 p.m. at Whiskey Cake, 3601 Dallas Parkway, Plano, TX 75093.
