On November 3, the American Heart Association will host the 2018 Collin County Heart Ball at 6pm at the Omni Frisco Hotel.
According to the American Heart Association, a life is claimed every 80 seconds by cardiovascular diseases but nearly 80 percent of cardiovascular diseases can be prevented.
Funds raised from the Collin County Heart Ball will go directly toward cardiovascular research and heart health education programs both locally and nationwide.

“The American Heart Association is committed to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives,” said Melissa Cameron, executive director. “The Heart Ball gives us the opportunity to not only thank and celebrate the amazing work of our volunteers, survivors and donors, but also pave the way for impactful change in Collin County.”
The evening will include exquisite food and drinks, featuring 10 chef stations from many of Collin County’s hottest restaurants. Some of the chefs include Hugh Stewart from Whiskey Cake, Alexander Sadowsky from Sixty Vines, Marcus Strietzel from Neighborhood Services, Omar Flores from Whistle Britches and Alejandro Irizzary from Bulla Gastrobar.

In addition to dinner, there will be a VIP reception, a silent auction and the Open Your Heart appeal. This year’s Open Your Heart campaign celebrates the young lives saved by medical advancements and features 9-year-old heart survivor Zoey Davis.
The Collin County Heart Ball began in 2014 and has raised over $885,000 to support the American Heart Association’s mission of building healthier lives, free of heart disease and stroke.
