The Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano is celebrating its fifth year hosting the Legacy of Love Benefit & Fashion Show. The philanthropic organization is partnering with Mercedes-Benz of Plano for the show, which takes place at 5:30 p.m. April 20 at Mercedes-Benz of Plano. The event benefits Children’s Medical Center Plano. Since 2010, the Women’s Auxiliary Legacy Chapter has raised over $700,000 in support of Children’s mission to “make life better for children.”
Sandy Brennan, Joyce Houlihan, Sue de Mille Minyard, Dr. Betty Muns and Sen. Florence Shapiro are among the honorees that will be recognized at the event for their continued support and dedication.
“This year, we’re really focusing on the celebration aspect of Legacy of Love by honoring these five women of vision,” Beth Webb, president of the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano, said. “Not only do we hope to raise funds for Children’s Medical Center Plano, but we also hope to inspire others within the community to get more involved in making a difference for the children.”
Attendees also get to enjoy music, bid on luxury raffle items and nosh on delicious goodies from Capitol Grille and Seasons 52. Sprinkles Cupcakes will be served during the cocktail hour. The fashion show features spring trends for the whole family from TOOTSIES, Circa2000 Menswear and Animal Crackers, with Dallasite and fashion blogger Courtney Kerr emceeing. Afterward, stay for coffee and dessert by local vendors.
