Dallas-based rideshare and delivery company Alto will provide free transportation to the polls on Election Day throughout DFW and Houston. To utilize the free ride feature, download the mobile app and enter promo code VOTE2020 when requesting your two rides (one to the polls, one to get home) on Election Day, Nov. 3.
The service does not cover all of Plano, so be sure to check that your zip code is covered before requesting your ride.
“Alto is proud to mobilize voters on this important day. We hope that this small act of providing complimentary rides to local polling centers will encourage North Texans to get out and exercise their right to vote,” said Will Coleman, founder and CEO of Alto.
The elevated rideshare service launched in Dallas in early 2019. Every rider is picked up in a luxury vehicle owned by the company, and all drivers are background-checked employees. All rides are monitored with real-time video in every car.
The company is taking every health precaution to ensure the safety of each rider. All drivers wear masks and gloves on every trip, every vehicle uses a HEPA cabin air filter which removes 99.9% of airborne particles, and all vehicles have been treated with PermaSafe – a sanitizing mist that kills 99.9% of germs.
