ArtCentre of Plano’s For the Love of Art 2016

ArtCentre of Plano’s For the Love of Art celebration was held Saturday, October 8. The evening honored seven individuals and two organizations that have enriched the Plano arts community.

ArtCentre of Plano Executive Director Suzy Jones announced that the proceeds from the event will go toward completion of the Saigling House, a 1906 historical home in downtown Plano’s Haggard Park that will house the ArtCentre upon opening this December. The Saigling House will also be available to host art exhibits, special events, weddings and art classes.

Held in the Haggard Party Barn, the event was catered by My Possibilities Culinary Arts, a program that provides education and job opportunities for adults with special needs. The catering was made possible by a partnership with Whole Foods Market. Music was provided by Plano ISD teachers performing as a string quartet and a jazz ensemble. Plano’s former Deputy City Manager Frank Turner, along with his wife Beth Turner, were Honorary Chairs.
