Carole Greisdorf served as program director of Leadership Plano (LP) from 2005-2007 as well as 2014-2018. Now, in 2021, she is returning to the role once again. The role entails overseeing LP class sessions, the annual retreat and other projects concerning the class and alumni. After a hiatus during what would have been the 2020-2021 class year, Class 38 will be meeting in person beginning this fall, with social distancing and other safety precautions in place.

“We are thrilled to welcome back Carole Greisdorf to head up Leadership Plano and lead this program through its first class since the pandemic began,” shared Plano Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Kelle Marsalis. “Carole is a distinguished leader in Plano and will give our participants an amazing experience.”

Carole participated in Class 11, has served as president of the LP Board and is a graduate of Leadership Texas. Originally from Florida, she moved to Texas to work as the chief communications officer for Plano ISD in 1992. She worked in that role for 12 years.

Other organizations she has been actively involved with include Sci-Tech Discovery Center, Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, PTA on a local and national level, Plano Youth Leadership, ArtCentre of Plano and Junior League of Collin County. She is also a lifetime member of the National Council of Jewish Women.

Carole received the ATHENA Award in 2003 from the Plano Chamber and was named a Top Ten Woman of Collin County in 2015. She also received Leadership Plano’s Distinguished Leadership Award in 2019.

“I am delighted to return to work with the Leadership Plano team. Leadership Plano graduates have contributed extensively to the community through government service, the nonprofit sector and the education community, and I look forward to greeting the upcoming class members,” said Carole.
