The Shops at Willow Bend recently announced that Cinépolis USA, a leading world-class cinema exhibitor known for its enhanced movie-going concepts, will be the latest addition to its growing roster of entertainment options with the 2020 opening of Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas Plano. The 10-screen, 40,000-square-foot multiplex will be the cinematic entertainment anchor for Willow Bend, which is currently in the process of a multi-phased $145 million renovation and expansion.

The third upgraded and further-enhanced cinema house and fully cohesive restaurant set to open in Texas, Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas Plano will add to Cinépolis USA’s Luxury movie theater category. Theater auditoriums will offer guests fully reclining leather seats, a full Luxury Cinemas Menu and in-theater waiter service available for guests to order dine-in food direct to their seat at the push of a button, or to order in advance through the Cinépolis USA mobile app.
In an effort to provide a place where guests can feel pampered before, during and after watching a film, Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas feature sophisticated and approachable décor, cutting-edge sound and projection technology, an elegant lobby space, kid-friendly menu items, gourmet snacks and a curated selection of beer, wine and cocktails help create the ultimate movie-going destination. In addition, the theater space will be fully integrated into Willow Bend, with a direct mall entrance providing guests with easy access to world-class retail options.
The opening of Cinépolis will mark the completion of a major phase of Willow Bend’s $145 million renovation and expansion of world class retail, food and beverage options, entertainment and other amenities. In 2018, Willow Bend celebrated the grand opening of The District, a new dining destination featuring popular chef-driven restaurants. Other phases of Willow Bend’s reimagining will include the opening of Plano’s first Equinox location, followed by a continued evolution of the property as an inclusive, 24/7 neighborhood that provides a variety of entertainment and dining concepts for all parts of a day and phases of life.
