Frisco fans of Dillas “primo quesadillas” will no longer have to make the drive south to Plano. The locally-owned fast casual eatery recently opened its second location at Preston Stonebriar Shopping Center in Frisco.
Dillas originally opened in West Plano at the end of 2013 and quickly became popular not only for its freshly made quesadillas in delicious combinations such as the Hot Hatch with Hatch green chile peppers and the Lone Star with smoked brisket, but for its involvement with community organizations and local schools.
Owner Kyle Gordon dreamed of opening his own restaurant ever since college. The name of the restaurant is an ode to one of his favorite movies at that time, “Napoleon Dynamite.”
Dillas (pronounced dill-uhs) still serves up its infamous quesadillas in multiple combinations, but diehard fans will notice a few things different in the Frisco location: There is no drive-thru, and there is an outdoor patio to dine “al Frisco,” Kyle jokes. The Frisco location also offers an open view of the entire kitchen, allowing customers to see firsthand the fresh veggies and grilled meats that go into each order.
Dillas’ Frisco location is open 10:30am-10pm every day of the week.
