Plano is now home to the 16th location of Filson, a 127-year-old retail establishment with an All-American vibe and locations across the northern U.S., Tokyo, British Columbia, London and Canada.
The Seattle-born brand sells outdoor apparel, bags, luggage and other accessories that have been seen on celebrities like Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds and Chris Stapleton, who did a collaboration with the brand last year.
The Plano store is located within luxury watch retailer Shinola at 1039 E 15th St. and is the first location in the South and Texas.
Filson was established in Seattle in 1897 to outfit prospectors headed for the Yukon. Today, the brand still focuses on outdoor apparel and accessories.
To celebrate the grand opening, Filson is hosting a welcome brunch on August 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a breakfast buffet and bloody mary bar.
The store will be open regularly from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
