Girl Boss 2019: Ten Women Changing Plano

Let’s not be cliché and talk about glass ceilings. Women have been busting through barriers and creating their own measurements for success for a while now. Instead, let’s talk about women in Plano — your neighbors and your friends — who are catalysts for change and initiators of good, who fight to provide opportunities for betterment that will benefit all genders.

We want to bring your attention to 10 bold women who are utilizing time, talents and a healthy dose of grit to make Plano a better place to live and play.

Looking at the bigger picture, throughout the country, many seem to be focused on what divides us, such as race, age and gender. But these women, despite their different backgrounds, are bringing our community together to celebrate what makes us unique.

Setting future generations up for success, these leading ladies are providing educational opportunities in science, art and business for the young and young at heart. Advocating for individuals without a home or job, and for those who are unable to feed their families, these fierce females are improving the quality of life for many in a wide circle around her.

Whether her title is CEO, director, business owner, social media innovator or volunteer, we believe she is a groundbreaker, she is a leader, and she is an advocate. She is a #GirlBoss.

Here are their stories.
