Labor Day is coming quickly, and if you don’t already have plans to kick off the end of summer and beginning of fall, Plano has you covered with plenty of ways to fill your day off.

First, The Texas Pool has a pool party in true Texas style with pool games, bring-your-own (non-alcoholic) beverages, and $10 admission.

Next, Blackland Distillery is continuing the tradition with the Blackland Triathlon and Blackland Youth Triathlon at Oak Point Recreation Center. The family-friendly race day has a kids race, sprint triathlon, sprint aquabike or Splash & Dash. The day ends with a Labor Day picnic. Those wishing to participate can register online, which includes a finisher medal, commemorative Blackland Triathlon swag, a race t-shirt, race chip timing and free parking. The post-race party also includes a free post-race massage with recovery boots, Rock taping and treatment with doctors from Elite Chiropractic.

Looking for some time away from the kids? Slime Land in The Parks at Willow Bend is offering a slime class for $35, where kids can be dropped off to create their own slime, play slime games, participate in a bubble contest, eat snacks and do a photo shoot with their own creation.

If you can’t make it to any of these events, Labor Day is a great opportunity to enjoy one of Plano’s many parks and enjoy the last day of summer.
