In a January 9 press release, Macy’s announced that as part of its “A Bold New Chapter” strategy, the retail company would close the Plano location. This will be accompanied by the closure of 65 other underproductive locations, four of which are in the DFW area.

According to Macy’s, the new financial strategy is focused on modernizing the brand and creating a path for sustainable and profitable growth.

The full list of locations being closed this year can be found here.
