It is hotter than the Sahara outside. Literally. With temperatures topping 100 degrees multiple times in the last week, Texas is beating out the desert all month long. Lucky for us, there are lots of ways to stay cool in Plano this summer.

For a frozen treat, Main Event is teaming up with Tiff’s Treats for a new line of cookie shakes this summer including a Chocolate Chip Cookie Shake, Snickerdoodle Cookie Shake and Blue Monster Cookie Shake. Each treat includes two full cookies: one blended and one on top.

“We are so excited to introduce these one-of-a-kind Cookie Shakes to our guests,” said Ashley Zickefoose, CMO of Main Event Entertainment in a press release. “Main Event’s mission is to create fun, memorable, and delicious moments for our guests, and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with another beloved Texas-based brand like Tiff’s Treats to help bring smiles to families everywhere.”

There are also several new frozen treat makers who have are setting up shop in Plano, including Churn and Bake at 2707 W 15th St.

“Churn and Bake is an artisan creamery serving premium ice cream and baked goods in Plano, TX. We offer Asian-inspired flavors and make everything in-house,” Churn and Bake’s site explains. “We partner with local businesses to source our ingredients and strive to create unique and memorable tastes and flavors.”

Paleta Mia at 2947 Buckner Blvd Suite 300 also recently opened, and the ice cream and paletas joint with frozen treats from sweet to spicy and every combination thereof is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

No matter where you get your frozen treats, Plano is full of places to keep cool and avoid the heat.
